well, i drink dandelion root tea a lot & never got a caffeine jolt, but a cup of hot anything will tend to get your bowels moving in the morning, & certainly dandelion coffee! =)

hey becky, have you every made dandelion seed tea? i've wondered about doing that. seperately, is it a good idea to snack on dandelion seeds straight off the plant? i'll usually eat them when i see them & i'm not dead yet, but i'd like to know more about the nutritional content of dandy-seeds & what the reasonable thresholds would be - how many seeds should a contestant on fearfactor eat before stopping & picking a few dandelion shoots out of their teeth?

have you tried dandelion wine? i know somebody who used to make it, & they say it's great stuff..

i've always wanted to grow a massive crop of dandelions.

i love edible weeds. if anyone is convinced that they don't have a green thumb maybe they should try harvesting a few thousand dandelions seeds. it'd take all of about 10 seconds if the plants are standing next to you, (the seeds from 10 or so plants growing wild everywhere you look, each plume plume carrying upwards of 100 seeds) & toss them on some clean soil where you'd like a garden. =)
dandelions are so kickass. watch out though, you might end up curing some horrible disease if you eat enough of them.. =O

anyways, in your travels, if you ever happen to stumble upon a stream with some wild grown wasabi, please save me some? & send me an email. thanks! =)
