In other news:
* I will be speaking about wild edible and medicinal plants at OMSI, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, this Saturday as part of their “Rescue: Responding to Disaster” event. I’m excited to announce I’ll also be part of OMSI’s “The End of the World As We Know It” apocalypse exhibit for adults on Wednesday, November 28.
* The next two upcoming Urban Foraging 101 classes are July 21 and August 18, both Saturdays. I’m now handling registration through EventBrite rather than e-mail. To sign up for July 21, click here, and for August 18, please click here. If you or your group would like to schedule a private class on another date, e-mail me at RebeccaELerner@gmail.com

I hope you don’t mind me saying but you look totally gorgeous in this
and a hairy or smooth plant stem is a fine line between life and death
Would be lovely to forage more with confidence. Rosehips and Blackberries are my limit so far here in England.
That’s awesome! Congratulations!
excellent- thank you
Excellent work!
I love this! Have you posted the rose hip sauce? Super curious about it (I love roses). I wish I had known you when I lived in Portland. I would have loved to take a foraging class.
Congratulations, Rebecca! Thank you for this urgent and beautiful work you do. Dan, Chicago
Great coverage, Becky. I’ve posted it on my Facebook wall and tweeted it to my followers. Congratulations!
BTW, Chickpea, on 2 separate occasions accomplished TV producers pitched foraging shows in which I’d star to the networks professionally, but both were blown off across the board by all the narrow-minded TV execs—foraging is way too radical for their limited mental capacities.
That’s a shame. There is a REAL interest in foraging now. Many of my friends are asking me about it and starting to learn for themselves. Foraging is HOT right now.
Wow, Wild Girl, you are as natural on camera as you are with the written word. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you do your foraging thing. Think it’s time to pitch a foraging reality show for the Food Network!!
Best of luck with your classes, etc. Hope to forage again with you before the end of the Summer.
